AGROFORESTRY SPECIALIST 

The United Methodist Committee on Relief, Non-Governmental Organization (UMCOR-NGO)(www.umcor-ngo.org) is a not-for-profit organization that provides transitional development and relief assistance to communities in need around the world. UMCOR-NGO's Indonesia Mission (UMCOR-Indonesia) is seeking a AGROFORESTRY SPECIALIST to be based in Bireun.

The Agro forestrySpecialist will be responsible for daily program activities provided to targeted nursery group beneficiaries through community meetings, trainings, technical assistance, and distribution of material inputs in coordination with procurement team.

Qualifications:
* Previous working experience with community-driven development approaches and participatory assessments.
* Minimum 3 years working experiences with international NGOs
* University degree in Forestry, Agriculture or related discipline.
* Experience with working with farmer groups and nurseries
* Experience with conducting community-based training
* Ability to provide leadership and support to communities
* Ability to manage variety of workloads and prioritize tasks.
* Excellent computer skills, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Flexible in mobility and working time.
* Willingness and ability to travel regularly to working sites in a challenging environment including stay overnight if required.
* Experience in training or teaching
* Advanced English skills (oral and writing).
* Knowledge of Acehnese social and cultural traditions.
* Able to speak Acehnese.
* Direct experience with livelihoods/ income
generation projects.
