Lowongan Conservation Project Manager - The Zoological Society

 
The Zoological Society of London is an international wildlife conservation organization based in London. ZSL’s Indonesian programme is a small but rapidly expanding operation based in Bogor with field projects in Sumatra and Kalimantan. ZSL Indonesia is now looking for a qualified and committed candidate to fill the position of Project Manager for a new project to be set up in South Sumatra province. The project will focus on working with Department of Forestry partners and locally based companies and communities to conserve a tiger population that exists inside and outside conservation areas.  The position would best suit an Indonesian national.

Minimum requirements:
• Education to S2 level or equivalent experience in a relevant subject
• A committed but pragmatic approach to environmental conservation
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently
• Good communication skills, ideally with experience dealing with commercial partners
• Experience in leading a team
Desirable attributes:
• Prepared to spend significant periods of time in the field
• Fundraising experience
• English language skills
• Computer skills, especially GIS and/or biological statistical analysis
• Prepared to live permanently, or spend the majority of time, in South Sumatra
• Ability to drive
