/Indonesia wishes to recruit an Admin/Finance Assistant for our "Building Indonesian Livelihoods and Transitional Shelter" (BUILT) program. The BUILT program includes transitional shelter for 5,000 families, 2,500 upgrades to makeshift shelters, latrines for 1,250 households, sanitation and hygiene efforts, and cash for work to help clean up debris. In addition, the program also includes components focused in earthquake resistant construction training for local builders and earthquake risk-reduction education for its beneficiaries.

Job Title: Admin/Finance Assistant

Reports To: Finance and Administration Manager

Location: Pariaman, West Sumatra, Indonesia

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Admin/Finance Assistant will be responsible for handling all kind of payments and assisting the Admin & Finance Manager in maintaining the premises.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Perform daily and cashiering functions

- Maintain a small petty cash fund, including maintenance of a debit-credit-balance sheet, etc

- Collect, verify, and be responsible for the payment request of invoices

- Ensure utilities (electricity, water, telephone, etc) are checked and paid

- Execute field payment of consultant, volunteer and labor payroll

Ÿ Maintain and updating off all financial files/documents/forms

- Filing: Maintaining up-to-date filing systems, including chronological and subject files.

- Preparation, filing and recording of cash payment voucher included support document attachment

- Assisting accounting to prepare and submit finance reports

- Assisting to provide stationeries, supplies and logistics

- Perform other tasks and duties consistent with the above.

QUALIFICATIONS

a. Good communication skills; proven ability to work in a multicultural context as a flexible and respectful team player.
b. Good organizational skills and ability to determine priorities.
c. Capable of working under pressure and is results-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines.
d. Ability to prepare clear and concise reports.
e. Demonstrated computer and typing skills; Excel and Word skills are essential.
f. Ability to do a lot of traveling to field sites.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

a. Diploma degree in related field, preferable in accounting or business management, OR post secondary education and accounting certification training
b. At least 2 years of experience in finance.


LANGUAGE SKILLS

Fluency in written and oral English, Bahasa Indonesia, and Bahasa Minang.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Basic skills and able to perform job specific mathematics.
